The Minecraft Movie trailer has been released. Starring Jack Black, this quirky production is full of funny lines and massive battles.
Forget Detective Pikachu, because an even weirder live-action video game movie is on the way. Warner Bros. has released the first Minecraft Movie trailer, and we have to say, it’s visual chaos. The combination of real people and a realistic CG rendition of Minecraft is both strange and eerie.
Minecraft Movie Trailer Reveals Jack Black’s Appearance as Steve
There are many highlights in the trailer, but Jack Black proudly exclaiming “I’m Steve!” is one of the most memorable moments. The movie has a high dose of fun and is full of funny one-liners. In addition, Minecraft staples such as massive battles, mining and, of course, crafting play an important role in the movie.
In addition to Jack Black, the cast includes famous names such as Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen and Jennifer Coolidge. Jared Hess, known for Napoleon Dynamite, is in the director’s chair. The Minecraft Movie will be in theaters on April 2, 2025 and Netflix is also working on a Minecraft animated series.
