The Catilin Clark craze continues in the American National Women’s Basketball League WNBA.
Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever, will play their first exhibition game of the season against the Brazilian Women’s National Team.
Tickets for the May contest sold out within an hour of going on sale.
It will be the first time that the accomplished athlete will play a game in Iowa City, where she played collegiately.
Fans who wanted to watch Caitlin Clark turned to the black market to find tickets. It was stated that the cheapest second-hand tickets were sold online for 689 dollars.
The 23-year-old, who made history as the most successful athlete in the college league, was drafted first overall last season.
The WNBA has seen a huge increase in ticket sales, viewership and revenue since Clark joined the league. The star’s agent said last week that the league undervalued Clark.
