Don Henley is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known as a founding member of the Eagles. Born in Gilmer, Texas, in 1947, Henley started his music career playing in local bands before moving to Los Angeles.
In the early 1970s, he co-founded the Eagles, one of the most successful rock bands in history. Serving as the group’s drummer and co-lead vocalist, Henley contributed his songwriting and singing to many of the band’s biggest hits. His distinctive voice is featured on songs such as “Hotel California,” “Desperado,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” and “The Long Run.”
